Welcome Message

Welcome to the playcricket site of Norwich & Coltishall Wanderers Cricket Club. Based in East Norfolk with grounds at Barton Turf and Coltishall, the club runs 3 Saturday league sides. The First XI compete in the Lovewell Blake Norfolk Cricket Alliance Premier Division, whereas the Second X1 are in Division 5. The 3rd XI play in the Norfolk Cricket League.

The Club has junior sides in the Under 11, 13 and 15 age categories of the Norfolk Alliance competitions and runs weekly coaching for children of all ages on Monday evenings at Barton Turf, starting at 6.30pm. We will also host junior coaching on Wednesday Nights at the Town Close School starting at 6.30pm.

This year, we have great pleasure in announcing that we have South African, Brent Bragge, joining us as an amateur for the 2009 Season. Brent plays for Standard CC in the Kwa-Zulu Natal Inland club championship and has captained Rhodes University 1st XI for the past 4 years in the South African Universities Championship. Brent is a tall elegant batsman and right arm medium fast bowler. Brent is also a highly regarded coach and will be working with our youth section throughout the summer.

We are also delighted to announce that we will have an overseas player to play in our Second XI, Jake Mitchell, who plays for Campbelltown-Camden Ghosts CC in the Sydney Grade Cricket competition will be joining the club for the summer. Jake holds a Level 2 coaching qualification and will be working with the club and Town Close School throughout the Summer.
